In september 1989, Wim Meulders presented for the first time in his life. During Bureau’89, the largest ICT fair of Belgium, Commodore Belgium hired Wim, as a student, to present the Commodore Amiga 3000 multimedia computer live for the visitors of the booth.
Few months later Wim, by then graduated as Bachelor International Marketing from the Antwerp Highschool, was working for Computerland Brussels as Assistant Marketing when Commodore Belgium headhunted him. Wim went from Dealer Account Manager (sales rep) in 1990 to Amiga Sales Manager in 1992 and got an in-house executive leadership training (~MBA) at Commodore’s “university” to become Sales & Marketing Director of the Belgian branch in 1993.
At the launch of the Amiga CD32 at the Brussels Computer fair in 1994, Wim did his first TV interview on BRT, the Belgian national Radio & Television.
