De Persgroep, publisher of trend seting media brands in Belgium and the Netherlands, hired Wim Meulders as Product Owner a.i. for the Digital News Room project in October 2014.
Wim acted as SCRUM Product Owner within the agile software development team, cleaned the backlog and succesfully built a Portal and Search solution next to the in-house build Site Management and Article Editor components. The Product Owner, aka Product CEO, is the one person responsible for the success or failure of a project. The Product Owner guides the development by bringing his vision to the team, outlining work in the Product Backlog and prioritizing it based on business value. He acts as middleman between the business and the development team.
Wim worked with the De Morgen newspaper and website in Belgium and Algemeen Dagblad in the Netherlands. He handed over a smooth running team in January 2016.
